Sorry! This product has already been sold!
Rare vintage Albert Flamand cuff Compact bracelet featuring 3 deep brown embellishments that I believe are made of Galalith, an early plastic widely used in Germany and France before WWII. Stamped Flamand Fladium Depose. Albert Flamand was a jeweler to celebrities and stars in 1930s Paris. His most well-known client was Josephine Baker, the African-American dancer who found fame and fortune in France. Flamand invented a plating process that he called "Fladium." Fladium is a metal with a protective oxide layer. The production involves an electrolytic process that results in a high quality gold-colored finish.
approx 2.5 x 2.5 inches opening is just under 2
Very good vintage condition. The metal has minor wear around the compact.
